Super simple but so delicious, this dill pickle pizza is made for dill pickle lovers! It has a deliciously garlicky and creamy base that’s topped with plenty of melty mozzarella cheese and thinly sliced pickle. This easy pizza recipe is perfect for your next pizza night at home!
I’m always pretty excited to share recipes, but one bite of this dill pickle pizza and I was in love. I couldn’t wait to share it with you all!
If you’re a dill pickle lover (like me), then this dill pickle pizza is a must try. It has the most delicious creamy base, tons of dill pickle flavour (from sliced dill pickles and dill) and lots of garlicky goodness from fresh garlic. It’s a good one, friends!
This recipe comes together super quickly. The ingredients are pretty simple, it takes minutes to assemble and minutes to bake … meaning once the pizza craving hits, you could be enjoying this pizza really, really quickly.
Ingredients
- Cream cheese: Light or regular cream cheese works in this recipe. Just make sure it’s softened before using so it’s easier to mix.
- Dill pickle juice: Make use of that pickle juice from your jar of pickles. It really reinforces the dill pickle flavour, plus it thins out the cream cheese to make it nice and spreadable over your pizza crust.
- Garlic: Freshly minced garlic really compliments the flavour of dill pickle. You can mince it with a knife, garlic press or grate it on the small holes of a box grater (whatever works best for you).
- Dill: A combination of fresh and dried dill is used. The fresh dill is used for garnish after the pizza is baked. If you don’t have fresh dill, you can totally omit or simply sprinkle over a little dried dill.
- Salt and black pepper
- Store-bought prebaked pizza crust: For convenience, I used a store-bought pizza crust, which was about 8-inches in diameter. The one I used was ready to top, then bake. These are pretty readily available in grocery stores these days, usually found right alongside breads, naan, flatbreads and the like.
- Cheese: Aside from cream cheese, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese is used. Mozzarella melts wonderfully and is classic for pretty much most pizza recipes. Parmesan adds a lovely flavour.
- Dill pickle: The star of this pizza recipe! I used Kosher dill pickles and sliced the pickle thin. So yummy!
How To Make Dill Pickle Pizza
Here is an overview of how to make dill pickle pizza (full details are in the recipe card below):
- Add softened cream cheese, dill pickle juice, garlic, dried dill, salt and black pepper to a mini food processor and process until combined.
- Place the pizza crust on a sheet pan.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pizza crust, leaving about a half-inch or so border (reserve 1 to 2 teaspoons of the sauce for drizzling over the pizza once baked, if you like).
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, dill pickle slices, Parmesan cheese and dried dill.
- Bake the pizza.
- Drizzle with the reserved sauce. Allow it to rest for a few minutes, then cut into slices.
What To Serve With It
If you’re serving this dill pickle pizza as a main dish, it’s great paired with a side like a mixed green salad, pasta salad or fries.
If you’re serving this pizza as part of other game day eats, it goes great with wings, buffalo chicken dip, pulled pork nachos or chicken bacon ranch sliders.
And, of course, you’ve got to have a pizza dipping sauce to go with! I love dipping the pizza crust in ranch dressing.
Leftovers
I don’t often have leftovers, especially when it comes to this dill pickle pizza. However, should you find yourself with some, it can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Cold pizza is definitely something I have been known to enjoy. However, when given the choice, I prefer it reheated so the cheese gets nice and melty again. There are different options for reheating:
Microwave: Place the slices of pizza on a microwave-safe plate and reheat on 15-second intervals until heated through. This will yield the least crispiest results, but it’s the quickest method to reheat the pizza.
Air Fryer: Place the slices of pizza on your Air Fryer rack/basket. Set the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and heat the pizza for about 5 minutes or until heated through.
Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place the pizza slices on a sheet pan and bake for about 5 minutes or until heated through.
Tips
- The pickles: Kosher dill pickles are my pickle of choice for this recipe (they’re just so yummy). I like to slice the pickle thin, then pat them dry of excess moisture before using so they don’t add too much liquid to the pizza.
- Pizza crust: I used a store-bought pizza crust for this recipe, meaning it was ready to top, then bake. Depending on the brand you are using, you may have to prebake the crust before adding the toppings (just follow the package instructions).
- Add protein: This dill pickle pizza is delicious as is, but if you want to add some protein, either cooked chicken, pulled pork or crispy bacon would be a great addition.
- Serving size: Since this recipe uses a 8-inch crust, it’s more of an individual pizza or personal pizza. Having said that, it’s totally shareable between a couple of people, especially if you serve it alongside other things, such as a side or two or some appetizers.

Oh this is definitely going onto our menu ASAP! There’s a brewery that opened up near us that has pickle pizza on the menu. We didn’t order it as we weren’t staying for dinner…but it had both of us intrigued. Thanks so much for the recipe and inspiration. That pizza looks drool-worthy!!
