I love smoothies with cocoa power. (This chocolate peanut butter smoothie is one of my absolute faves.)

It’s probably because there’s lots of chocolate flavour and it tastes like a dessert smoothie.

And I also love chocolate and mint (my favourite ice cream flavour by the way), so it’s no surprise that this chocolate mint smoothie has been on rotation a whole lot lately.

You can’t imagine how much fresh mint we’re growing. Like, I could probably supply the street with it, it’s that much.

And we have multiple varieties: peppermint, chocolate mint, and orange mint.

Now, if we could only just get that basil to grow.

Why We Love this Chocolate Mint Smoothie

    • The avocado adds richness and body, making the smoothie extra creamy.
    • It takes minutes to make (great when you’re craving a snack).
    • Chocolate and mint is such a great combo. It tastes delicious!

    Can I Use Another Milk?

    For sure!

Almond milk was used in this smoothie, but you can use oat milk, soy milk or regular dairy milk.

And, if you really want to amp up the chocolate factor here, use a chocolate flavoured milk.

Do I Have To Use Avocado?

Avocado helps gives this chocolate mint smoothie lushness.

If you prefer not to use it, you could always replace it with a frozen banana. It will impart a slight banana flavour, but not hugely so.

Avocados are the absolute best in smoothies! And you really can’t go wrong with mint and chocolate. This looks like one delightful smoothie my friend!

My favourite ice cream flavour as a kid was chocolate mint chip, so I’ve really got to try this smoothie! Also love you incorporated avocado into it! Yum!

I’ve never used avocados in a smoothie! What a wonderful little tip. And I’m all about anything that is chocolate and tastes like a dessert, but is good for you! Heck yeah!!!

Chocolate and mint are such a good combo! I love that you added avocado; they add so much to smoothies and it’s always a great way to sneak in those healthy fats. I need to try this soon!

What a fun idea to make a dessert smoothie! We’ve been loving the smoothies for lunches this summer, but we’ve yet to make a chocolate version. We have mint growing in a pot out back, so we’ve got that part covered! I’ll have to make a batch of these before Autumn’s chill arrives.
