~ Easy Black Bean Dip ~
This Easy Black Bean Dip is creamy, packed full of flavour from chipotle powder and cumin, and can be made in under 10 minutes! Plus, it’s made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand. It’s delicious with your favourite corn chips or even as a spread for a wrap or sandwich. You’re gonna want to make this one over and over again!
Hey everyone! What’s up? Surprised to hear from me today? Keeping you on your toes, I guess 😉 I just couldn’t wait to send this one to you. Have you guys seen all the foodie videos going around lately? If you follow some sort of social media (and unless you’ve lived under a rock) you probably have. I said to myself –

What?! Ok, let’s not get too excited. It’s a video of me making this wicked black bean dip. It’s definitely not going to win any awards or anything and I can already think of things I would do differently next time, but it’s a start. Talk about keeping the ol’ brain goin’. I mean, seriously, shooting this and learning a new program to edit. Whoa. I gotta sit down for a hot minute. I think I’m getting too old for this, lol 😀
In all seriousness, I could not have done this video without my BFF, partner in crime, bud, husband, hubby, better half. He totally helped me set everything up and even with the editing. Plus, he counsels me when I’m just about to rip the hair right out of my head from frustrations in the kitchen, throwing something out the window or otherwise having a complete melt down over a bombed recipe. He is quite the guy. So thank you hubby. Love ya!
And, a huge thanks to my friends Karrie from Tasty Ever After and Kevin from Kevin is Cooking . I shot numerous questions (ok, A LOT) at both of them. I was seriously just waiting for one, or both, of them to start ghosting me<—-yeah, I know the lingo; I’m hip like that #NotReally.
Ok, moving on from the mushy stuff and let’s get to the dip. Creamy, so-easy-you-can’t-believe-it Black Bean Dip. I love this recipe. It’s a new favourite in our home and so so easy to make. There’s no need to get your little butt to the grocery for pre-made stuff. No sir-ey. Grab a few simple ingredients, throw it in the processor, garnish and boom! Done.
Speaking of garnish, if you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know I’m a big fan of all things garnish. I garnished this dip with tomatoes, grilled corn, green onion, cilantro, chili flakes and feta<—–told ya I love garnish. And you’re probably thinking ‘Duh, Dawn, you don’t have to tell me what the garnish is, I can see it in your pics.’ Anywho….
If you don’t like a certain garnish or reaaaaaally love one, omit or add as you like. My favourite garnish here was the corn because it adds a little texture and sweetness, contrasting with the spicy, creamy dip. But, honestly, this dip is awesome even without garnish and could easily be a delicious spread on a sandwich or wrap. I used some red chili in this recipe too, but that is totally optional. You also probably know that I love me some spice, so I crave that kick, but you can leave that out if you wish.
This Easy Black Bean Dip is not only flavourful, it’s lower on the fat content cause there’s non fat Greek yogurt in there and just 2 tablespoons of olive oil. How awesome is that? I say stuff your face with abandon. You go! As they say ’round here —>Give-er!
