I’m back at it after a little staycation!
All in all the weather was great! The first few days, it was so windy, but living in the windiest city in Canada (3rd windiest in the world), I have come to expect wind, LOL.
We did get a couple days of rain, which was also nice because it was an excuse to stay inside and chill.
I thought I’d ease into the week with something that’s a tad indulgent and super easy, so BBQ chicken flatbread pizza it is!
I’m obsessed with these flatbreads. They are just so darn convenient and, of course, delicious! Ever since I’ve made this BBQ chicken flatbread pizza, it’s a regular for us. Once you taste it, you’ll see why!

Tips for Making This BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza Recipe
- This flatbread pizza recipe yields two flatbread pizzas. The size of each flatbread is 200 grams each. If your flatbread is larger or smaller, you may have to adjust your ingredients accordingly.
- I cut each flatbread pizza into 2 large slices, but you can cut them smaller if you wish.
- I use fresh mozzarella here. It melts wonderfully and tastes delicious!
- Don’t like banana peppers? Leave them out. Love them? Pile more on!

Looks amazing and am making the flatbread recipe you referred to as well as I type it his. But question, it says flatbread cooks at 475 and this recipe says 425, how does all of that come together? Do I precook the flatbread at least partially and if so a what temperature Thanks
Dawn | Girl Heart Food says
Hi Sue, thanks so much! Perhaps your brand of flatbread is different than the one used in the recipe, but no worries! You can certainly cook your flatbread to the recommended temperature on the packaging of the brand you have, but just watch to ensure that it doesn’t burn. Cook time may vary. You just want to make sure that the flatbread is cooked through and crispy, and the toppings are heated through and the cheese is nice and melty. Hope you enjoy! 🙂

i came across this recipe as i was looking for healthier alternatives for using flatbread. I tried this for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! I used the same ingredients without the banana peppers (since i didn’t have) and added eggplant. I would definitely make this again!

Thank you so very much, Michelle! So happy you enjoyed the recipe! 🙂 The addition of eggplant sounds lovely too.

I love flatbreads! They make for such a nice light dinner and fill the pizza void without having to actually mow down a heavy, greasy pizza. I mean, that’s definitely necessary sometimes, but a light and crisp alternative like this is so awesome to have. These photos have me droooooooling 🙂

Totally!! Thanks so much, Dana 🙂 Happy Monday, my friend!

You just broke my diet!! This recipe looks fantastic. I love the addition of the arugula. It gives such a lovely peppery taste to compliment the sweetness of the barbecue sauce. BRILLIANT!
