Strawberry Mango Margarita

  • 1.5 cup strawberries -sliced, frozen
  • 1 cup mango -cubed, frozen
  • 1/3 cup lime juice -about 3 limes
  • 3 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • 1/3 coconut water (or orange juice) -or more, depending on how thick you like it
  • 1 cup ice -crushed
  • 1 tbsp sugar -or to taste (I prefer not too sweet)

  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • lime -wedge (optional)
  • strawberry -optional

  • Place sugar and salt on plate (if using) and stir to combine. Rub a wedge of lime along rim of margarita glasses. Dip lime rubbed glass in sugar. Lay glasses to one side.

Strawberry Mango Margarita

  • In a blender add strawberries, mango, lime juice, tequila, triple sec, coconut water (or orange juice), ice and sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape sides, if necessary. Mixture will be thick. If you want a looser consistency, add more coconut water (or orange juice) until you've reached the thickness you like. And if you like it sweeter, add more sugar to taste.
  • Divide among glasses and garnish with a wedge of lime and strawberry. Enjoy!

  • If you want a looser consistency, just add a little more coconut water (or orange juice) - a little at a time cause a little goes a long way.
  •  I used frozen fruit in this recipe (which I love).  I find it lends itself to a deliciously slushy, cold, refreshing cocktail, which is just what you are looking for when you are talking margaritas.
  • The rim of this frozen cocktail was a salt/sugar mixture because I love salty/sweet combos.  However, if you prefer you could use all salt or all sugar.  You do you!
  • I blended the tiniest bit of sugar into this frozen margarita recipe.  Like things sweeter? Simply add a little more.
  • Used crushed ice here (not cubed).  It makes things a lot easier on your blender.
