Hey hey! How has your holidays been so far? Are ya having fun? Relaxing? Stuffing your pie hole with lots of good eats? Do tell! What are your plans for New Year’s? In past years, hubby and I have went out for dinner and then to a party with friends. But, in most recent years, we go for lunch earlier in the day, and then plan something special to make at home. We prepare a yummy meal, listen to some records, watch some movies and enjoy each other’s company (with Riley, aka fur baby). It’s our favourite thing to do and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
So, in the spirit of festive New Year’s Eve celebrations, I’ve rounded up some New Year’s Eve recipes from myself and those from fellow food bloggers and friends. Baked Camembert with Berries Thyme and Wine from Girl Heart Food (me)- If you follow my blog, or know me, you know this chick LOVES cheese. And is there anything better than ooey-gooey melty cheese with crusty bread? No. The answer is no 😉
Gingered Limoncello Champagne Cocktail from Tasty Ever After (pictured below & photo credit) – Ok, another thing I love is lemon! This is a relatively new thing for me…like, the past several years. So, obviously, this beautiful sunny cocktail turns my crank! And champagne? Well, that’s necessary on New Year’s, don’t ya think?
Phyllo Baked Brie with Fig Jam and Crushed Pecans from Everyday Eileen (pictured below & photo credit) – Brie lovingly wrapped in buttery phyllo and baked. I could make a meal out of just this!
Crispy Chorizo Deviled Eggs from Kevin is Cooking (pictured below & photo credit) – These aren’t your run-of-the-mill deviled eggs! Crispy chorizo really amps these babies up for one delicious bite!
Cranberry Champagne Sparkler from Ciao Chow Bambina (pictured below & photo credit) – Such a pretty colour and super festive. You’ll be cheering away the New Year with one of these delicious drinks!
Dark Chocolate-Dipped Figs with Gorgonzola from We Are Not Martha (pictured below & photo credit) – Such a classic combo – cheese + fruit + chocolate. Doesn’t get much better.
Tomato Soup Shooters with Mini Grilled Cheese from Culinary Ginger (pictured below & photo credit) – These are the cutest little portions of soup that I ever placed my little eyeballs on. And those mini grilled cheese? YES PLEASE!

Chicken Tostadas from Pinch and Swirl (pictured below & photo credit) – This is one flavour packed bite! So much goodness and texture piled high. These would disappear FAST!
Puff Pastry Sausage Braid with Beer Cheese Sauce from Meg is Well (pictured below & photo credit)- This looks like work of art, buuuuuut I would still have no problem digging into it, lol.
Cuban Sandwich on a Stick Appetizer from A Fork’s Tale (pictured below & photo credit) – What more could you ask for? This one is easy to have in one hand, while your cocktail is in another. Just what you want in party food!
Baked Sundried Tomato & Herb Goat Cheese Dip from No Spoon Necessary (pictured below & photo credit) – Who doesn’t love a good dip? Serve with bread, crackers or chips and you’re good to go!
Spinach and Boursin Stuffed Mushrooms from The Beach House Kitchen (pictured below & photo credit) – A classic app for sure! These delicious one bit stuffed mushrooms are easy to make and even easier to eat. Those bread crumbs on the top add a lovely texture.
Winter Beer Sangria from Craft Beering (pictured below & photo credit) – This is one of the prettiest sangrias I’ve ever laid my little eyeballs on. Plus, it’s super festive with that cinnamon stick!
