Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan

Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan

Rosemary chive bread with parmesan

This Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan is a very simple bread to make.  For reals.  Can you make pizza dough?  Yes. Yes, you can.  So, you can make this!  You basically combine a bunch of ingredients, let it rise, punch out, let it rise again, top with cheese, bake and brush with garlic butter!  Easy, right?   It is loaded with flavours like freshly minced chives, rosemary, a touch of chili flakes and topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.  Then, once out of the oven, it’s brushed with a little garlic butter.  Bread, in my opinion, is possibly one of the best foods ever.  Serve with some vino and butter and call it dinner, my friends! Jumbo Blueberry Muffins with Orange Pecan Crumble & Orange Honey Butter

Blueberry Muffins with Orange Pecan Crumble & Orange Honey Butter

Jumbo Blueberry Muffins with Orange Pecan Crumble {and Orange Honey Butter}

Oh, look, cupcakes less popular cousin – muffins!  Well, these Jumbo Blueberry Muffins with Orange Pecan Crumble are not your average muffin, that’s for sure!  Just that they have local Newfoundland berries kinda makes them inherently wicked, that’s for sure!  Now, I may be a little biased, but blueberries in Newfoundland are by far the best blueberries found anywhere!  Seriously, though, they are so sweet & concentrated in flavour, they kick any other blueberries’ butt!  Around late Summer/early Fall, people typically go berry picking in Newfoundland.  They are grown wild and you can fill buckets and buckets with these little gems.  I recently got a bunch and couldn’t wait to bake with them (if they lasted that long before I had a chance to do so!).  They are so much tinier than any mass produced/grown ones you may find in the grocery store, but they make up for in their amazing flavour…like little candies!

Fig Toasts with Prosciutto & Goat Cheese

FigToasts2

Around here it’s basically once a year that I come across fresh figs and it’s usually at Costco.  When I am lucky enough to see them, I have to buy them  & then it’s all-on figs for the next few days.

These Fig Toasts with Prosciutto & Goat Cheese are super easy to make and unbelievably tasty.  And the colour of those figs?!  So pretty.  This recipe yields 8 pieces, so there’s a couple of pieces for 4 people as a little snack or app.  They are perfect little two-bite pieces of goodness!

Lime and Coconut Yogurt Cake

LimenCoconutYogurtCakewithGarnish

So creamy & delish, you might think that this is a cheesecake, but it’s not.  It’s made with yogurt so it’s not quite as dense as cheesecake, so you could totally eat more than one piece at a sitting.  It’s basically fruit & yogurt so that means it’s like a fruit cup, right?  Right 🙂
