 Pineapple and Coconut Ice Pops

{with White Chocolate, Toasted Coconut & Pistachios}

Pineapple and Coconut Ice Pops with White Chocolate, Toasted Coconut and Pistachios…ok, ok…I know that is quite the mouthful to say, but I love every.single.ingredient and it totally wouldn’t be fair to leave one out, would it?  The base of these ice pops are basically fresh chunks of pineapple and coconut milk, combined with sweetened condensed milk and coconut extract to add a touch of sweetness & further coconut-y flavour.  Then, the ice pops are dunked in some white chocolate and sprinkled with toasted coconut and pistachios.   A tropical delight, if you will🍍  You’ll never want to buy pre-made pops again!

Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan

Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan

Rosemary chive bread with parmesan

This Rosemary Chive Bread with Parmesan is a very simple bread to make.  For reals.  Can you make pizza dough?  Yes. Yes, you can.  So, you can make this!  You basically combine a bunch of ingredients, let it rise, punch out, let it rise again, top with cheese, bake and brush with garlic butter!  Easy, right?   It is loaded with flavours like freshly minced chives, rosemary, a touch of chili flakes and topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.  Then, once out of the oven, it’s brushed with a little garlic butter.  Bread, in my opinion, is possibly one of the best foods ever.  Serve with some vino and butter and call it dinner, my friends! Monthly Favourites May 2016, Girl Heart Food

Monthly Favourites MAY 2016

Hey guys! Happy Friday! Woot woot! Bet you didn’t think you’d hear from me today, did ya?

Well, I’ve decided to do a ‘Monthly Favourites’ for Girl Heart Food for each month. Yay!  I’ll try to post the Monthly Favourites a week or so following the end of the month, perhaps on a Friday. That way, you’ll have something to peruse while you’re drinking your morning coffee on the weekend. Always thinking about you guys 😉

Over the course of a month, most of us try new things and I thought this would be a great way to spread the love and share some of the things that have made me smile.  Plus, it’s a great way to keep the conversation going and get to know a little more about me and what floats my boat.  I just may suggest something that perks your interest.  And, obviously – please, if you have anything to share that you think I’d enjoy, I’d love to hear it!

Basically, for my ‘Monthly Favourites’ I’ll  have a small summary of the recipes that I have posted during that particular month (just in case you missed ’em) as well as a list of stuff that I have liked.   I’ll try to cover topics such as: Continue reading
